A taste of my Italy
Food and inspiration trip to Ceriana - our small mountain village in Liguria, Italy. Travel with me to my beloved Italy. We will experience and taste Italy together. We will explore the scenic nature and authentic village life of the Liguria region, which holds so much history and culture.
The journey is with me as the main teacher and accompanied by Turin-based Claudia, who will teach us everything there is to know about making pasta. During the trip, we will go to the market in San Remo to shop together and make wonderful dishes with pasta, vegetables, and seafood. We will also visit my little vegetable garden, which overlooks the beautiful local river. When visiting the garden, we will pick tasty vegetables and make sun-dried tomatoes for you to bring back home.
I will do my very best to give you an unforgettable experience with lots of learning, inspiration and of course new flavors. My local house - a recently restored 800 years old town house - will function as our base for the cooking and dining. During your stay you will be accommodated in private apartments in the center of our small town, each of which has sunny balconies with the most beautiful view of the mountains and the city. There will be full catering all days with food made from local ingredients.
The surrounding mountains offer the opportunity for beautiful walks and morning bathing in our bathing lake with fresh mountain water - approx. 5 minutes walk from our house. Together we will go for an aperitivo at the local bar, taste freshly made ice cream at the ice cream parlor and enjoy the sun from our terrace. Most importantly, there will lots of time for tasting local cheeses and wines from our area.
